Literature concentration in the MA in English, 2023

Laura was born in Cali, Colombia, and she graduated high school from Tuscarora High in Leesburg, VA. She graduated with her Bachelor's in English from the University of South Florida in 2019. Her major then was also English. During COVID, Laura decided to come back to the area to get her MA from Mason! She has a 15-month-old son and loves to travel just about anywhere!

MA in English Literature

Natalie has completed an MA in Literature and a graduate certificate in Professional and Technical Writing (PTW). According to faculty, she is always looking for ways to incorporate the work of English studies and literature into the workplace-focused work of PTW, by examining the linkages between literary analysis and the analysis of technical documents, exploring the role of storytelling in writing for professional environments, and working to use common ideas like audience and genre across different texts.
